A DNC connection achieved for a MESSER KS 20A controller and a post-processor created so as to produce the appropriate code.
It was a challenging task because the controller was manufactured around 1986 and it was not designed to communicate with modern PCs. Also G-Code was not applicable for the particular controller. The post processor takes as input the toolpath generated by the CAM and exports ESSI code which is the valid programming code for the KS 20A controller.
